Bioshock 2

I have been waiting impatiently for Bioshock 2 since the words "Would you kindly" twisted my world around and made me feel like an ignorant whore. I don't mind saying that I enjoyed that experience. The flavor, gameplay and story combined to form an amazing experience. The payday after it released I rushed to the store to purchase it. While driving on the way home I almost crashed a few times as I was smelling my new disc and box. (I always like to smell my new stuff)

I had myself a smoke when I got home, in order to get into the proper mood for playing a new video game. A quiver of excitement flew through me as I watched the opening scene.....I beat the game 2 days later. It took me around 16 hours to make my way through the single player.

Graphics - 9

The visuals were simply amazing. The disturbing world is brought to life on my PS3. The careful use of color and retro style, forms a tapestry that sucks the player in. Fans of the first game will not find much different here.

Gameplay - 8

Burning splicers alive while shooting them with a machine gun has never been smoother. The additional plasmid slots provide some interesting combos. Rapture is still a joy to explore and the level design makes it easier to scour the game for hidden items like recorders or weapon upgrade machines.

Story - 6

In my opinion this is the area where the sequel lacks. The first Bioshock had me hooked throughout the entire game. Maybe, the first game set the bar too high. It seems to me that the story of Bioshock 2 didn't need to be told.

Multiplayer - 7

I really enjoyed the multiplayer in Bioshock 2 even though I frequently found it difficult to find a game. After I learned to only wait for a particular game type for about 20 seconds before moving on, finding a game was much quicker. I enjoyed the many options they give you to decimate your opponents. As you rise in rank, you gain access to more upgrades and abilities. At first, I found it a bit odd that I was a level 1 playing against level 30s. This seemed to be unfair

I was very eager for the DLC that came out in March. When I paid the $5 and went to download the content, I saw that it was a very small file, around 158 kbs. The small size meant that I was paying to unlock content that was already on my disk. That kinda pissed me off. If the content was ready to go when the disk shipped then why do I have to pay extra for it? I feel like chopping up parts of a game that are already finished in order to bilk people of extra bits of cash is a dangerous trend.

“Rage of the Serengeti” HDT part 1

Imagine you are a home invader. You have all your home invasion equipment and weapons gathered up. You stopped by your aunt’s for a nice pre home-invasion dinner and then drove to the house you already have picked out for a bit of fun and horror.

You anxiously wait for the lights of the family home to go out. You've already texted and twittered about your intentions to your gang member pals and hope that you can begin terrorizing fairly soon. Your other home invader friends would be so jealous if they saw you now.

Darkness has overtaken the entire house and the neighborhood appears to be sleepy. You crack your knuckles and gather your stuff. You cross the lawn and silently creep up the porch steps.
At the door you pause momentarily and glance at the little sticker posted next to the bell.

"Protected by
Race of the Spaghetti"

The dark and your third grade reading level cause the plainly worded sticker to bring some laughable thoughts into your dull head.

You move suddenly and kick the door open with your massive leg. You stride into the home pointing a Glock 9 out ahead of you. You check both your corners to the left and right. A sudden movement from the ceiling catches your eye as something launches forward. Your normally excellent reactions are no match for the spring loaded 30 pound replica rhinocerus horn that finds inself buried deep within your chest cavity. You stare dully down at the massive six inch diameter hole in your body that the horn occupies.

You stagger backwards through the door and sink to your knees. You get one more glance at that little posted sticker before you die. You don't know why but your last thought in this world was about you reading that sticker wrong and wondering about what a "Serengeti" is.

That's right people. Now you too can own this nice little deathtrap for your very own home or office! People have been using homemade booby traps for thousands of years. Affordable home protection has never been so needed by so many.

Now you can have the comfort and security that only a professionally made and/or installed deathtrap can provide.

Look at all these benefits of the "Rage of the Serengeti" home defense package!

* While never scrimping on quality of materials. We strive to get the best materials we can for the lowest price. We pass that savings on to the customer.

* Non Electronic. Home invaders could disconnect the power from your house and this device would still kill one of them.

* No Rhinos were killed for these. We would never kill a Rhino for one of these devices. Each "horn" would be a simulated horn hand crafted from stainless steel. The steel is then weighted in order to really drive it into the chest cavity.

*Deluxe models available

Now if you are interested in hand crafted home security devices that are unconventional and wish to know more about "Rage of the Serengeti" please leave a comment or email me with some way of getting a hold of you.

Civony = Evony

I have been playing Civony since the first or second week it came out. My first impressions were detailed in my earlier post about it. Needless to say I have become addicted to this game and sometimes can't stop playing it even when I really should. Since that time the game has been renamed "Evony"

I am a General/Baron as I can't find any damn honor medals. I am vice-host of a modest alliance filled with good people on server 1. The people in my guild find me to be knowledgeable and frequently ask me questions. I do not claim to be some amazing player but I do play it everyday and have built a little kingdom that can sustain sending millions of resources to my alliance members each day.

I notice that most of the traffic to this site comes from people typing in "Civony" into Google. I offer up this post to answer any questions that you may have about the game. If I do not know the answer I will find it for you. So please ask your question in the comment section and I will endeavor to check everyday. When I have the answer I will edit this post with your question and the answer included so it will be easy to find.

Please don't ask me to send you resources.
